Process servers, field calls and strippers?

When we are serving documents and conducting field calls, people can say the funniest things.

SWA was recently asked to conduct a field call on a business that specialised in Adult toys. We decided in our wisdom to double-check to see if the business was still open during the lockdown. (link)

A quick google check showed the business with large sign advertise Strippers and Adult entertainment. Our eagle-eyed staff member also noted that there was a large fishing tackle shop next door.

Suprise response

Our process server could not get hold of the adult shop by phone to confirm if they’re still open, so she rang the fishing shop.

She asked, “Do you guys know if the adult shop is still open next door?

To which the tackle shop owner replied, “Yes luv their still open, we sell the soft plastics and they sell hard”

Our team member could not stop laughing and she had to hang up.

We’re pretty sure this was not the first time he had used that line.
